Another day another logo, although this one has a more emotive connection with yours truly than purely being a nice-looking branding device!
This is the logo for a French supplier of ‘high tech products for the medical and sports markets’ -Thuasne. Apart from other things they make bandages and crutches.
When I first saw this I immediately thought the man was on fire. He’s not. It just looks like it. He is in fact being spirited away from the hospital by angels and he is very keen to make a hasty exit. You would too after spending 2 weeks in a Parisian hospital ward! He follows me around every day embossed and printed on my natty pair of crutches.( €45 from a Pharmacie near you).
Forget the fact that the crutches look like a cross between a turkey and an alien (image to follow soon), this is in fact a nice bit of branding not often found in an environment inhabited by bedpans and liquidised foodstuffs. It implies that no matter how mangled and crushed one finds oneself currently, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Give it six months and cycling like a loon across Paris will be back on the menu as if it had never gone away.
Fingers crossed.
